Description
Immerse yourself in the heart of the last French workshop dedicated to hand screen-printing on silk, a rare and precious craft preserved by Maison Brochier Soieries.
Invented in Lyon in the 1920s, this manual printing technique has long adorned the fabrics of the greatest couture houses. With a collection of over 3,000 screens—some dating back to the 1950s—our printers carry on this tradition with both passion and modernity.
During this introduction to screen printing, you will discover the secrets of the traditional Lyonnais technique and create your own personalized silk square. Seated at the long tables where the silk is carefully stretched, you will be guided step by step by our master printers, true guardians of an exceptional savoir-faire.
Over the course of two hours, you will learn how to handle the screens, align the patterns, and print your colors with precision. Once your creation is complete, your silk square will be fixed, finished, and sent to you by post so that you can wear it with pride.
